#SixSunday: Virgo (WIP)-Dance Club Scene #10

Last week, Sam gave us his thoughts regarding what is "normal". This continues that train of thought.

He could let Adam calling her "ab-normal" slide because, in the circles he frequented, it was a rare compliment.

Average was the word Sam preferred. That’s what most people were measuring when they said normal: the qualities of one thing against an average of the set. There was a middle point, or a middle range, and things fell on that point or within that range or they didn’t.

Delilah was, as he told Adam, above average more often than not, and his role for all the years he had known her had been to buffer the world to give her the space she needed to make it fit her right. It had mostly worked too, until The Cookie Incident sent them back to ground zero.

  4. Seems like this is Introspection Sunday. My piece is, yours is, the couple I've read so far are :)

Great introspection-- I like the image you created by saying he was giving her space and protection for her to have a chance to let it fit her, and then closing with such a tease! Now I have to know what the Cookie Incident is!

  12. Nice, Wendy. More and more intrigued. I was a little confused by the mention of Delilah (and in masculine), but I guess with these short snippets it's easy to miss context, right? Will be back next week for more!
