#SixSunday: Virgo (WIP)-Dance Club Scene #6

After a few months of nagging, I finally got my friend Kelly Seguin to enter Six Sentence Sunday.  This required her to create a blog. I think it looks pretty nice. She's sharing a kick-ass six from her novel Ashes, Ashes, so please check her out and say hi.

Last week, Delilah threw off her hoodie, showed us her fashion sense, and put on glasses she doesn't need to wear. There's one minute to go until Delilah does...whatever she's got planned.

At 11:13, while Delilah’s fingers danced on her laptop, Adam transitioned from electro into a sultry layering of R&B rhythms, harmony, and phrasing. Sam’s racing pulse tripped when a tick of a metronome rose above Adam’s bass line, growing louder every second. She was really going to do Flawed, he thought with both anticipation and dread. The room plunged into darkness as the the spotlights cut out, all but for the dim lamps around the equipment.

“Hello, Lincoln!” Adam yelled into his microphone, and the crowd answered him with a roar.

At 11:14, Delilah hit the return key on her laptop; Sam crossed himself like the good Catholic he used to be.

Please check out the other authors at Six Sentence Sunday. Some of my favorites are Jayel KayeSarah BallanceKrystal WadeMonica Enderle PierceSiobhan MuirSarah W.Pippa Jay, and Kelly Seguin.

  3. You do such a great job with description while keeping the tension up, great 6!

(FYI-blogspot has a kink in their code that doesn't show the Captcha code for WordPress users, so I can't log in that way and then have to try alternatives. You might consider turning off Captcha on Sundays...)

    2. Captcha should be disabled. Could the next person who comments let me know if they get it?

    1. I tried to comment on Kelly's SSS but it wouldn't let me. The code was cut off and there was no way to scroll down in the box. Please let her know I visited and enjoyed her six! ;c)

  11. Love what's happening here with these two! Great atmosphere.

Also, Wendy, I went to Kelly's site and tried to leave this message: "Very intense! I love the deep POV. Superb. Sorry you got stricken from the list, that is just a cryin' shame. But I'll try you again next week!"

BUT, it wouldn't scroll down so that I could even *see* both of the code "words" I was supposed to put in in order to post--have a feeling this may be happening a lot to your friend, as there were "0" posts on her blog. You might want to help her fix her comment box. Hugs, and see you next week, K :)
